Terms of Use
The short version: use the site fairly, treat it as general information rather than advice for your situation, and remember that real project terms live in your written quote.
01 About these terms
These terms apply to your use of clearpixelweb.com (the “site”), run by Clear Pixel, a web design studio in Calgary, Alberta, Canada (“we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
They cover the website only. Website projects, hosting, maintenance and other paid work are governed by the written proposal or agreement we sign with each client, which takes priority over anything on this site.
02 Using the site
You’re welcome to browse and share our pages. Please don’t:
- use the site for anything unlawful, or to harm, harass or deceive anyone;
- try to break, overload or get around the security of the site;
- scrape the site in bulk, or run automated requests against our forms;
- submit someone else’s personal information without their permission.
We may block access for anyone who does.
03 Prices and information on the site
We work hard to keep the site accurate, but it’s general information, not professional advice for your particular situation. Prices shown are starting prices to help you plan. They aren’t an offer: the scope, price, currency, taxes and timeline for any project are set in your written quote, and availability can change.
04 Our content and your work
The site’s design, code, text, pixel art and graphics belong to Clear Pixel. You may link to and share our pages, but please don’t copy or republish them without permission.
Client names, logos and project screenshots belong to their owners and are shown as examples of our work. If you’re a client and would like something removed, email us and we’ll take it down.
05 Other websites and services
The site links to other websites and uses outside services, such as Cal.com for booking meetings. We aren’t responsible for their content or practices, and their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.
06 No guarantees
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.
07 Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Clear Pixel isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the site, and our total liability for any claim about it is limited to $100. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that can’t be limited by law. Liability for paid work is governed by your client agreement.
08 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Alberta, sitting in Calgary.
09 Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version, which applies from the moment it’s posted.
