Service area pages: how to rank in Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks and beyond
Your Google pin cannot reach every town you serve, but your website can. Here is how to build service area pages that rank and stay on the right side of Google.
Read articleOkotoks is getting ready to grow again: new regional water, a 608-acre business park on Highway 2 and a rebuilt downtown. We build websites for Okotoks businesses that are ready for the customers coming next.
For years, water set the limit. Okotoks grew about 7% a year from 1997 to 2007, then slowed to roughly 1.4% a year as the town held development to what its water supply could support. The Foothills Okotoks Regional Water Project, a 25 km pipeline from the Bow and Highwood rivers, started delivering interim water in June 2026, and the town’s 2025 Growth Strategy plans for 3 to 4% growth a year.
Business is changing with it. Council approved a new downtown redevelopment plan in May 2025, North Railway Street was rebuilt through the summer of 2026, and North Point, a 608-acre business park beside Highway 2, was approved in October 2024. Today the town’s tax base is 88% residential, and it’s aiming for 80/20.
Okotoks is also a town of independents. The town counts more than 744 storefronts and 805 home-based businesses, and most of its professional-services firms are one-person operations. For a lot of businesses here, the website is the storefront.
Okotoks shoppers choose local on purpose. Your site should make that easy today, and be ready for the new residents the pipeline will bring.
With 805 home-based businesses in town, plenty of Okotoks companies have no sign on the street. A clear, credible site with services, prices and contact options does that job.
As housing growth restarts, new households will search for everything from a family doctor to a landscaper. Pages written for Okotoks searches put you in front of them early.
With Elizabeth Street and North Railway Street reworked, downtown shops and cafés have a reason to invite people back. Current hours, events and directions make the visit easy.
Dawgs games at Seaman Stadium drew 4,700-plus fans a game in 2024, and June’s parade and children’s festival fill the town. Seasonal offers belong on your site, updated by you.
Okotoks professionals compete with Calgary firms 40 minutes up the highway. A fast, credible website levels that field.
Clinics, trades and service businesses save hours with online booking and quote requests that land straight in your inbox.
Okotoks is small enough that locals know every part of town by name, and big enough that they search before they drive across it. We build your pages around where your customers are, north or south of the Sheep River.
